Service Description

Show Me The Drop (“SMTD,” “we,” “our”) is a price monitoring service. You send us receipt photos via SMS. We extract item and price data, monitor current prices at supported retailers (Costco and Target), and alert you via SMS when prices drop below what you paid so you can claim a price adjustment refund from the retailer.

Pricing

  • Show Me The Drop is free to use. There is no subscription fee.
  • When you successfully claim a price adjustment refund, SMTD retains a percentage of the savings as a service fee. You choose your rate: 20%, 25%, or 30%.
  • You keep the remaining 70%, 75%, or 80% of the savings.
  • If you do not claim a price drop, you owe nothing.

Referral Program

  • You may earn a percentage of savings claimed by people in your referral network.
  • Tier 1 (direct referrals): 5% of their claimed savings
  • Tier 2: 3%, Tier 3: 2%, Tier 4: 1%, Tier 5: 0.5%
  • Referral earnings are calculated after the platform fee is applied.
  • We reserve the right to modify referral rates with 30 days notice.

SMS Communications

  • By texting our number, you consent to receive SMS messages from us.
  • Message frequency varies based on price drops detected for your items.
  • Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
  • Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all messages.
  • Reply HELP for assistance.

Disclaimers

  • Price adjustment policies are set by retailers, not by SMTD. We provide information about price drops but cannot guarantee that a retailer will honor a price adjustment.
  • OCR accuracy may vary. We make reasonable efforts to accurately extract receipt data but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy.
  • Price data is sourced from third-party APIs and may not reflect real-time in-store pricing.
  • Monitoring windows are limited: 90 days for Costco, 30 days for Target, matching each retailer's price adjustment policy.

Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by replying STOP to our SMS number. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, submit fraudulent receipts, or abuse the referral program.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
